Healthy spinach salad
Popeye already knew that spinach makes you strong. Spinach contains lots of folic acid, antioxidants and minerals. The oranges and grapefruit in the recipe provide vitamin C and bitter substances. In practical terms, this spinach salad is therefore as valuable as a green smoothie.
It is best to buy organic spinach and look for young, tender leaves. Spinach is in season in spring (March-April) or in fall. It is then available fresh from the field at the markets.
The following applies to mozzarella: if you want it to taste really good, it has to be fresh buffalo mozzarella. A cheese from the German supermarket can hardly offer this unique aroma and creamy soft consistency.
The salad is a delicious little evening snack, but also makes a nice side dish with pasta or a pizza bianca.
