Panna cotta – Italian cream pudding
Panna cotta, the firm cream pudding from Italy, tastes great on its own or with strawberry, mango or raspberry puree. Chocolate or caramel sauce also go very well with it. The basic recipe for the dessert is not difficult at all.

Ingredients
- 3 Leaves Gelatine
- 400 ml Whipped cream
- 1 Vanilla pod
- 2 EL Sugar
Strawberry sauce
- 100 g Raspberries, , frozen
- 2 EL Water

- 100 g Mango, , frozen
- 2 EL Water

- 100 g Raspberries
- 2 EL Water
Schritt für Schritt durch´s Rezept
- Step 1Soak the gelatine in cold water for 5 minutes.
- Step 2Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthways and scrape out the seeds with the back of a knife.
- Step 3Place the cream, vanilla pulp and scraped-out pod in a pan. Add the sugar and bring to the boil. Simmer over a low heat for 5 minutes. Then pour the cream through a fine sieve into a bowl.
- Step 4Remove the gelatine from the water, squeeze out well and dissolve in the hot vanilla cream. Leave the mixture to cool and pour into cold rinsed pudding molds or glasses.
- Step 5Place the ramekins in the fridge for at least 4 hours and leave to set.
- Step 6Before serving, dip the pudding moulds briefly in lukewarm water. This helps to release the panna cotta from the mold. Now turn the panna cotta out onto plates.
Prepare the fruit sauce
- Step 7Finely puree the frozen fruit with a little water in a blender and pour over the panna cotta.
