Decorate as desiredz. e.g. chocolate sprinkles, raspberries, sugar pearls
Instructions
Use the large knife to cut the pandoro crosswise so that you have 5 equally thick, star-shaped slices.
Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
In a bowl, mix the egg yolks and sugar with the whisk on a hand mixer until the mixture is nice and frothy.
Now add the Marsala and the mascarpone. Continue beating the mixture until it is smooth.
In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until firm. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until everything is well combined.
Now pour the cream into the piping bag.
Take the base of the Pandoro, place it on the plate and run the piping bag along the outer edge of the cake once, so that you are virtually tracing the outer line of the star with the mascarpone filling. Then fill the inside of the star with the cream.
Take the next smaller slice and place it on the base of the cake so that the spikes with the mascarpone cream remain free. Now paint the star on this second slice of cake with the cream first and then fill the inner surface.
The next smaller slice of cake follows. Place it on top again so that the spikes with the mascarpone cream remain free. And then continue to layer the cake in this way. In the end, it looks like a small fir tree with snow-covered tops.
Spread the rest of the cream over the top and decorate as you wish: with chocolate sprinkles, sugar pearls or fresh fruit, such as raspberries! The mascarpone tips of the cake can also be decorated.
